The tunnel seemed to stretch on forever, twisting and turning as the sounds of destruction echoed all around me. My breath came in ragged gasps, my legs burning with effort, but I kept running, my mind focused on one thing-getting out.
Finally, I emerged into a large, open chamber. The ceiling had partially collapsed, allowing shafts of moonlight to spill into the room, casting eerie shadows on the walls. I stopped, gasping for breath, my heart still pounding in my chest.
