He can't find out, what if he sees me as unfit.

Instead of responding father just squared his eyes at me, then slowly his gaze... Softened?

"These past few years must have been hard on you." Father said easing my heart.

Suddenly my nose felt itchy, his hands outstretched and pulled me close, hugging me.

Maybe it's due to the fact that my father rarely shows concern like this which made my high wall get broken, or just because I've held it in for too long.
