The hospital room is quieter now.
The twins sleep in a crib beside the window, sunlight spilling gently across their small faces. One of them stirs, making a soft noise, but settles again as a gentle hand smooths his blanket.
Bennis hums quietly, rocking back and forth in a chair. She looks tired but calm. Her eyes, though, never leave the babies. She watches them like they’re hers.
