Nick sits in the small prison room, his legs chained to the wheelchair. His face is pale, his eyes burning with anger. The metal bars of the window cast long shadows across the floor. He glares at the door as it opens.
Lora steps in quietly, her heels clicking softly against the concrete. She stops a few feet away, holding her bag tightly. She looks nervous, but her eyes are full of concern.
“Nick,” she says softly. “I… I came to see you.”
He turns his head slowly, scowling. “What do you want, Lora?” His voice is cold, sharp.
