I didn’t understand why Alpha Killian insisted on taking me for a walk. Of all people, why him?

I was already trying my best to keep my distance. Every time he was close, my body betrayed me. My heart raced and my skin tingled.

It was like being caught between a flame and a promise I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep.

But worse than that were the words my mother had always told me. Her voice echoed in my head every time I saw him.
