Two days have passed since I met up with Alexander's grandmother, and I've not been thinking of her offer; maybe I got enticed by the amount once or twice. I mean, now that I didn't have anything to hide from, the offer didn't sound so bad anymore. I told Charlie about my meeting with her and her offer, and she warned me not to get involved with them anymore. I understand she was coming from a place of concern, but I fear that I might have become more involved with their family than I realize.
