I squeezed my eyes shut in embarrassment for a few seconds.

I faked a smile.

"Why did you stop?" He asked again. I glanced around, and he turned to look at the staff standing around us. One look from him, and they scurried away.

At least his coming out helped in a way.

"Come on," He added as he interlocked his hands with mine and started heading towards the elevator. I ignored the eyes I felt on me as Alex led me toward the elevator.

We got on an empty elevator, and as soon as the doors closed, I removed my hands from his grip.
