The tears slid from the corner of my eyes as the words left her lips.
"Why are you doing this to me?" The words stayed on the tip of my tongue, unspoken.
I was tired. My body felt weak and I felt my bead ache with every passing second.
I heard the door open and close, followed by Kiara's voice.
"Mom stop this now, you've done enough harm to Emily,"
"Quit the pretense Kiara," Mom sneered.
"I'm not pretending. So please stop this. Don't use this against her,"
I stared at her.
