As Mateo leaves, I take my fight clothes out of my sports bag. I change into my sports attire, which consists of black leggings, a white top with black letters, and my white sneakers. I braid my hair into two braids and put on my boxing gloves. I'm ready. I do a quick warm-up and wait for the signal.

After about 20 minutes, I hear some commotion outside, the sound of people cheering. I pace back and forth to calm my nerves until there's a knock on the door.

Ara - Come in.

The door opens, revealing Mateo entering.

Mateo - Are you ready, Araceli?

Ara - Yes.
