I pulled up the woman’s social media again to confirm the address. I memorized it and dragged myself out of bed. I wanted to sleep in more, but my desire to find answers was stronger.
My stomach tightened as I drove. The city blurred past me, cars honking and pedestrians chatting, and vendors shouting. With every mile I was closer to the address, my pulse quickened and my chest shrank.
