The drive to our house was the most relaxing one I have had in a long time. My fingers tapped the steering wheel in rhythm with the low jazz playing from the speakers. I couldn’t stop smiling as I drove through every hill and sloppy ground. Zane’s signature on that contract was more than just a stamp–it was a rope he willingly tied around his own neck.
