Crossing the Line
The entire next day felt like foreplay. Every time Mason walked past my desk, my stomach flipped. Every time his voice carried across the open floor during meetings, heat pooled between my legs. I’d worn the tightest pencil skirt I owned charcoal gray, hugging my ass and thighs and a fitted cream blouse that showed just a hint of cleavage. My heels were higher than usual, exactly as he’d told me.
By 6:30 PM, most people had left. My phone buzzed with a message from him.
