Office Neighbors
The Monday after the happy hour, I was running late as usual. Coffee in one hand, laptop bag slung over my shoulder, I jogged into the lobby of the Meridian Tower just as the elevator doors started closing.
“Hold it!” I called out.
A hand shot out to stop the doors. When they slid open again, there he was Alex, standing in a perfectly tailored navy suit, tie knotted with military precision, hair styled like he’d stepped out of a damn catalog.
“No way,” I laughed, stepping inside. “You work here too?”
