Bab 16

 

Raline had just finished cooking food for Charles.  She brought the food to the dining table, but her brow furrowed when she saw the very quiet atmosphere in the house.

 "Charles," Raline called when she felt that Charles was not in the house.  "Charles, come on down, and let's eat," said Raline again.

 Charles didn't answer his calls. This made Raline surprised.  "Is Charles asleep upstairs in the room?"  Raline thought Charles must have rested because he was tired and finally fell asleep in his room.  However, Raline's feelings were said differently. She felt that there was something strange about Charles.

 With fast footsteps, Raline climbed the stairs...
