Anthony leaned back into his seat, staring at me lazily, as if unfazed by my presence.

"I appreciate your effort in wanting to stand in for my son, girl, but it would be wise for you to back off. You know nothing about running a company." He turned his gaze away from me, and returned it to the board members. "I am a major shareholder here, and I am experienced. As you all know, I used to run this company before my son took over."

His son? I did my best not to scoff.
