Yesterday, I had seen Chloe the happiest since she and Ariana came to live with me. I could easily tell that she and her best friend had a very strong bond, and she had her every happy. I found myself wishing I could do the same for her. She wasn't really sad, but I knew that she was burdened and constantly scared because of our daughter. I was scared too, but Chloe had been with her all her life, and she had seen the worst of everything.
