I closed late from the office again. I wanted to spend the night with Chloe. Maybe I could be doing this everyday of my life. But when I got to the house, I met only Marian, and she was putting Ariana to bed.

"Where is Chloe?" I asked Marian.

"Oh, she went out to get something. She would be back soon."

I then went to my daughter's bed and knelt by the side. She yawned and stirred, opening her eyes.
