CHAPTER 2 

She smiled at him and her smile was warm and welcoming. He smiled back at her and she didn't seem at all fazed to suddenly have this young man standing on her porch in the middle of the wilderness. In fact, he thought that he saw a glint of excitement in her eye, but it was hard to tell. 

"Hi!" she said. She tilted her head to one side and there was something very cute about the way that she did that. "Hi!" he replied. He suddenly felt sure that he was blushing. The thought occurred to him - maybe this was really, really weird to just knock...
