I lifted the glass to my lips, taking a slow sip as I stared ahead, the pale light of the moon washing over me.
My head tilted slightly as I sat at the edge of the window, strands of hair falling over my eyes, blurring my vision as I watched the moon glow—like it was staring back at me, watching every move I made, everything I did, everything we did.
