The bedroom was dark except for the city lights filtering through the window.

I turned toward Caleb as he shut the door and pulled me back into his arms. I finished unbuttoning his shirt, pushed it over his broad shoulders, and let it fall to the floor. My palms moved across his bare chest, feeling the firm muscles beneath my fingers.

“You’ve been busy,” I said softly.
