The way Damien behaved made me feel a little better about him too. He was not one of those dudes who was in heat all the time. He seemed like the only person in the class besides me who was interested in knowledge.

After class, he walked by Brandon's seat. To my surprise, he suddenly complimented me on my notebook, "Excellent handwriting!"

This is the first time I have ever received a compliment. I did not know how to respond.
