Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Sunny

The next morning, I was on my way to the college cafeteria after attending all my classes in an attempt not to get myself into that principal's eyes again, or else he will definitely remove me from the college. No, that's not even a problem, the main reason is he will tell dad about it, and then Dad would kill me with his taunts without listening to me. Besides, today is my last day since we are getting a couple of months of vacation before final exams.

"Sunny!" I thought I heard a voice of a girl, calling me, "Sunny here!" I followed the direction of the voice and turned around to find the girl I hate the most. Tina aka my ex-girlfriend and the bitch. She cheated on me with another guy and when I caught her red-handed, she even dared to lie to me about it. It's been almost a year since I stopped being in contact with her in any way and my only bad luck is, we study in the same college and division.

I sought in anger, "What is it, Tina??" I asked as she made her way to my side. She was the same as we met on the first day, short but straight brown highlighted hairs, pretty face with at least ten layers of makeup. She was in a ripped denim mini skirt and white crop top.

She said, deepening her voice, "Don't be rude, Sunny, I know you still like me." While tracing her finger on the bridge of my nose to my lips.

I slightly shoved her hand away to not to get anyone's attention here as I chuckled in distaste, "What makes you think that after what you did to me I will still like you?"

"Your message." She stated.

I narrowed my eyebrows at her, "My message?"

"Yes, you messaged me yesterday on Facebook saying you love me and you want to meet me." She said, showing me that message and I stood there dumbfounded, I can never message her anything like this, I don't know how but she is trying to fool me, I guess.

"You know this clearly, Tina, not even in the dreams I could message you let alone love and meeting," I told her, annoyed with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Don't lie, Sunny, it's your account and except for you, no one can do this, can they?"

I rolled my eyes, shrugging, "Tina-" I was about to retort when a few other girls from our college hopped into this argument.

"Sunny, I got similar messages from you." They said in unison, creating an echo and a crowd to see this nonsense drama.

I shut my eyes in irritation before I opened them again and said, "I don't know what is going on, but someone is trying to frame me, "

"How is this possible?"," Why would anyone do this with us, ", "Yeah, He must be lying to cover up after he gets caught." They started to question me altogether.

"Silence!" When a powerful yet familiar feminine voice interrupted, "What is this noise about?!" She asked as everyone gave her space to walk up to me.

"Mrs. Jamila?" I mumbled.

"What is happening here?!" She asks, looking at my face, I was about to reply when the girls already began to lie to her.

I stood there with zipping on my lips, I felt like I was in another trouble and this time, it was a huge one.

Mrs. Jamila nodded in understanding as she swayed her head in my direction and frowned.

"Sunny is a spoiled guy."

I shoot her a glance in a fear of what she is saying.

"He bunks the classes and cheats in the test."

"He flirts with girls and even to teachers for his benefits."

My head was down in embarrassment. I wanted to vanish from here.

"But, he'll never do such a cheap thing."

I immediately lifted my eyes to confirm what she said was true, I just couldn't believe it in my ears.

"What, Ma'am?!", " How can you say this with so much confidence?!", "Exactly, we all know what he has done to girls." Those bitches started again.

Mrs. Jamila raises her hand in the air as an indication to keep their mouth shut." Whatever you girls know about him is true but hear another truth that I never saw Sunny playing with any girl's feelings ever, has he?"

They share a look and then shake their head in no. A smile made its way on my lips.

"So, It's clear that Sunny is innocent and someone must have done this either for a prank or to frame him." She said, sending a huge relief to my heart, "Now, go back to your classes!" She ordered and within a second, they vanished.

"Thank you so much! Mrs.Jamalia! For supporting me!" I told her by shaking her hands in happiness.

She gave me a duh look, "You shouldn't need to thank me. Find the real culprit." With that, she adjusted her glasses which were on her nose and sprinted off.

She is right tho, I have to know who did this with me whether for a purpose or prank but I am not gonna leave them in any way without making them pay for their mistake.

"Sunny!" I tilted my head when Bobby's 'surely gonna burst my eardrums loud voice' reached out for me.

"What happened, Bobby?" I asked, noticing the tension on his face.

"What is going on, Sunny, I heard some girls gossiping that you have sent them some love messages." He said, confused yet scared.

"I know, but trust me, it's not me."

"Then, who can do this?"

"I don't know. Whoever has done this doesn't know that they have taken a war with me, which means Sunny Davendra Suryavanshi."

He raises his brow in utter confusion but he doesn't say a word. We both sat on the empty chairs in the cafeteria as Bobby went to buy some food for us. I pressured my brain in thinking of all the enemies I ever made but still, none of them can dare to do this; hacking my account.

I checked my FB profile twice, seeing that it all looked fine like no one hacked it. Then what the hell was that?!

Suddenly something clicked on me; Ronnie, the first name that came into my tongue was his. The way he was smirking at me yesterday I knew he had done something wrong. My little nephew is a pure devil. How can I forget that?

Damn this kid! I am not gonna leave him without knowing the reasons behind his deeds.

"What happened now, Sunny? You're looking annoyed." Bobby spoke, placing the tray in the middle of the table as he sat next to me.

"I got the name of the real culprit," I said, confident.

He furrowed his brows at me, "Who?"

"Ronnie."

"Does it mean your nephew?"

"Yes, him, he took revenge on me for not playing with him yesterday!" I screamed out, knocking the sides of my palms on the table in frustration.

When I got a call from Dad, shit! Did Mrs. Jamila tell him everything?!

"It's your dad." Bobby voiced out like I can't see.

"I know, I am afraid to answer," I told him, "What if he is calling me to know what had happened today?"

"Don't worry, it could be something else as well, answer it before he gets doubt." He suggested.

I gave him a short nod and pressed the green button. "Hello, Dad?"

"Where are you right now, Sunny?" He suddenly asked.

"Umm...In the cafe. Why?"

"What are you doing there?! Pack your bags and come back home asap." He ordered over the phone.

"And why is that, dad?"

"Stop questioning me, I know you got a couple of months off from college and I don't want you to waste it. Besides, it's been 3 years since you have properly visited the home, your mom and I are missing you."

"Dad, I will try to come during summer vacation because my exams are almost near, I have to study." I retorted. Suddenly, he laughed hard on the phone as I joked.

"Nice joke, Sunny, you and Study can never lie in the same line, don't try to fool your dad, Rhea always tells me about the complaints she received about you from college."

I facepalmed in frustration.

Now, I got to know where Ronnie got the bad habits. I thought, my sister Rhea has never told anything to dad and I could never be more wrong. Like mother, like son. I will never trust her again.

"But-" He cut me off.

"I don't want to hear any excuse, Sunny, we are waiting for you, book a flight and come here by evening." With that, he hung up the call, leaving me in the 'what to do now' state.

"You should go and spend some time with them," Bobby said, putting the fork in the noodles before eating it.

I shook my head, "He will kill me, Bobby, the only reason I avoided meeting my family all these years was I was tired of hearing taunts from him and I know I am gonna receive them again once I reach home."

He patted my shoulder, "Don't take tension, just chill and go, because dads are gonna taunt anyway." He jokes. I gave him a small smile.

"Why don't you join me?"

"Thanks for the offer. But I am going to my hometown, Amritsar to see my mom. I will stay there for a few weeks after that I can join you."

"It would be great."

After that, we finished our lunch and headed back to the dorm. I told Bobby to go without me because I wanted to call Rhea Di to know why she did this to me. I trusted her so much and she betrayed me.

I phoned Rhea Di. After a few damn rings she answered, "Hello, Rhea di?!"

"Yeah, Say Sunny." She said in her calm yet casual voice.

"Why did you tell dad??!" I questioned, annoyed, "I trusted you so much!"

"So did I, Sunny. How can you leave Ronnie and Jia on their own? They are hardly 7 in age!"

"Kids? And they? Don't joke, Rhea di, you have any idea what your 'Kids' have done with me?!" I questioned, air quoting the word kid in annoyance.

"I don't care, Sunny, it was your duty to prevent them from doing wrong, and since you failed to do so, you deserve, after all, our deal was you will take care of my children and I will take care of your secrets." She cut the call with that statement.
