Chapter thirty-six(April 15th)

Sapphire's Point Of View:

My eyes widened as I took to my heels.

“No!!" I yelled.

I expected a loud gunshot but instead, I heard nothing. I immediately halted, looking at the man. He pushed the trigger again but nothing happened.

Landon, standing firm, took a step closer to the man.

“Rule number one: Never use Eric's gun. He forgets to load it the night before. If you don't know him so we'll, why put your life at risk and work with him?”.

The man, in disbelief, stared at the gun with a furrowed eyebrow. He pulled the trigger again.

The expression on his face was unexplainable...
