Sapphire's Point Of View:

My eyes narrowed, my gaze focusing on the kids for a while.

They were my kids. Jackson and Jason.

Without second thoughts, I dropped the apples in my hand, shoving the passersby aside as I made it through them, making sure I didn't take my eyes off my kids who walked sheepishly with the man who was holding their wrists tightly. From the way he held them, I could tell he was forcefully taking them and he had probably threatened them beforehand.
