My body felt weak; the wounds that Zane had inflicted on me through his devilish attack were still throwing with pain, the black magic still threatening to consume me. I tried to keep my mind sharp. I cod feel the weight of zabes taunts, but my determination to escape and protect my family kept me grounded.

The darkness kept on gnawing at me, but my resolve was stronger. I wouldn't make him win; Lena and my child needed me. Zane had the upper hand physically, but I still had my mind intact, and my will to fight was as strong as ever.
