Penelope’s POV:
Finally, the day for my last fight arrives.
The car ride to Silver Brass is silent and cold. Athena glances at me almost every five seconds, the weight of her gaze heavy and inquisitive.
“How do you feel?” She asks, the first words she’s spoken to me since we got into the car.
I give a hum. “Same as always,” I reply.
My stomach is a mess of nerves. Like the first time I was about to step into Silver Brass as one of their fighters. Except it’s the opposite.
