Why is she stubborn and has so much guts?

The thought of Angel hasn’t left my mind, my heart has been consumed with thoughts of her all night. Sleep eroded me to an extent I grew mad with paranoia. My attitude towards her lately is wrong but she wouldn’t agree to be docile or listen. I underestimated her due to her predicament, and now I’m left to suffer the consequences of the slip. She’s more than what meets the surface; she's hard as a rock within and with so much willpower and headstrong values.
