Angel’s POV
The drive back to the main mansion was exhausting the slow tremors that rocked, hidden silence marred with angst. His hold on the car steering was turbulent, the way he swerved had my heart accelerating rapidly in my chest.
His light eyes, soft features became hollow, and cold. When we got to the mansion he turned off the keys, took out his seat belt and walked right into the house without stopping to open the car door and help me out of my seat. One of those nice things he does I did take for granted.
