The girl didn’t see me at first.

She walked across the courtyard, balancing the bucket of water on her hip, her head bowed, her steps careful like she was trying not to be noticed.

But I noticed.

I noticed everything. The shape of her body, the soft sway of her hips, the way her hair clung to the side of her face.
