“I’m sorry to interrupt,” Rowan said without beating around it. “But someone asked to speak to your Luna.” Nyx's eyes met mine.

My hand tightened on the door. “Who?” I asked, every muscle in me was hard.

Rowan’s mouth folded. “It's Zade, Caspian. Somehow, he called me. But he wants to talk to her. He said it's about Liam.”

The word hit like a blow. I felt Nyx behind me, small and steady, and I stepped aside. She reached automatically for my hand.
