Ava's POV

The first thing I felt when I regained my consciousness was that my head was pounding. After that I realised that somebody's hand was placed over my head. It was a big, rough hand and somehow, I thought I recognised the gentle touch.

Jasper.

"Uhh ..." I let out a pained sort of voice. The hand on my head, stroking it or checking my temperature, whatever it was doing, halted in its movements.

"Doctor, I think she is waking up." I heard a distant voice. By the sound of it, I knew it was Jasper and thus, I realized that the voice came from somewhere near me...
