"Come in, Ava. We have things to discuss." 

The first thing Jasper said when he saw me at the door of his office. He was sitting in his chair with his coat off, hanging on the chair behind him.

For whatever reason, I hesitated at first. I was not sure if it was a good idea to go inside this office. If it was a good idea to even talk to him. But now that I was already here there was no point in delaying this. The earlier this gets done the better.
