Isadora's POV

I entered my stepfather's office and closed the door behind me. He wasted no time and unleashed his anger with a stern tone.

"What's this news I'm hearing, Isadora? What is the meaning of that stunt you pulled at the north? I sent you to represent our pack, but instead, you went over there to create a scene and embarrass our pack's reputation. Are you stupid?"

My temper flared, and I shot back with equal intensity, "I'm not stupid, stepdad. Leonidas is a terrible excuse for a mate, and I had to reject him."
