Golem responded in a sarcastic tone, saying, "Ask me to kill somebody? Yes. Ask me to burn down a city to ashes? Perfect. I would even enjoy doing it. But ask me not to do something stupid around my mate? That's one thing I can't promise, Isadora."

"Please, it would only be for a little while; you have to understand that I had a life before you showed up," I begged in a desperate tone.

Golem responded, "Alright, fine. But you have until after the funeral; you tell him your mate found you and is ready to claim you and put an end to whatever child's play you...
