Alice opened a portal into Joan's room after they came back from meeting Johnathan. They left as quietly as possible and by Day break they were heading out of the west part of the  Sparrow City to the eastern part of the city.

Alice had always lived in the west part since she moved in with her aunt. Before they left she visited the house she once lived in, it was dusty and dark. They left after just five minutes.
