“We didn't find him, sir.”

I squeezed my eyes closed and palmed my forehead after Tyler's men came back with that bad news. Dan's around and I can't calm myself down. He's playing with us. He knows that we're currently helpless and he's watching our desperation.

Tyler pulled me closer to him and stared into my eyes. “Go see your cousin. I will stay here with you.”
