I was startled by the presence that I didn't expect tonight. He bore his eyes at me with emotions I couldn't name. We stared into each other's eyes and even when I wanted to look away, his gaze seemed to be sucking my attention in and I couldn't avert my gaze. My heart was racing as we drowned in each other’s stares.

Out of nowhere, Catherine showed up and held onto Tyler's arm. She looked bothered as she watched me and Tyler making me want to laugh sarcastically.
