Jolene's heart skipped a beat as the door to her chambers swung open and her sister, Zelda, came bustling in.
"Jolene, dear, I was worried when you didn't answer my calls," she said, a look of concern on her face. Jolene swallowed hard, trying to compose herself.
"I'm fine, Zelda, really," she said, forcing a smile. But Zelda didn't look convinced. "You don't look fine," she said, her voice gentle but firm.
"You look like you've seen a ghost." Jolene hesitated, not sure what to say.
