Some people don’t learn

True to his word, Mason had us drove back and forth to school and people watching us. We got so used to it; it was like second nature. Things were okay until a particular incident at school.

I was in the class with Drew when Davina came running into the classroom, out of breath. We both looked up at her as I asked, “Davina? What’s wrong?”

“Elijah. Maddox. Some other guy. Fight,” Davina said between breaths. Drew and I got out of our seats. He yelled at me, “Get Matt!”
