My name is Mara, I have always been drawn to the forest. I have a connection to the leaves, they talk to me, give me secrets to their healing powers. I know the plants that can cure various ailments and flush out the deadliest poisons.

Most times I leave the pack and go to the woods to be among the trees and listen to them, their healing power becomes most potent at night or before dawn.

My great grandmother used to have such power and after her death, no one in our family had gotten her gift until I was born. I am just sixteen...
