I woke up early to the sound of the fire crackling.

By the time my eyes fluttered open, Theodore was already out of bed, pulling on his boots. His sword rested against the table, and he was fastening his belt when he noticed me moving beneath the blankets.

He came over and sat beside me, brushing my hair away from my face.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked.

"Yes." I sat up, pulling the fur blanket around my shoulders. "Why are you up so early? Where are you going?”
