GERALD'S POV.

It was another beautiful day, but not so beautiful for me. Doctor Cosmos called me to inform me that Jenny was not responding to treatment, and we had to transfer her to another hospital with more equipment.

I got out of my bed reluctantly and headed straight to the bathroom to take a shower which lasted for more than thirty minutes, since I was hoping that the water from the shower could wash away my regrets.

I was the worst dad in the world. I know.
