GERALD'S POV.

I busted into a laugh after seeing the message from my doctor. 'What? Is he threatening me or joking harmlessly?' I thought and busted into another round of laughs.

It was such a laugh that only reflected from the widening of my mouth and the unpleasant sound from the back of my throat. It sounded nothing pleasing, nor did it reach my eyes.

'He is threatening me.'

I called him with that laughter still on my lips and he connected almost immediately.
