I stood five feet apart from them, creating a cautious distance. The girl was making a futile effort to hold off his advances, but the rogue bully was much stronger than she was.
“Fool,” I sneered. “He should choose his match and not a helpless little girl who probably doesn’t even have her wolf yet. Let her go!”
I growled to have his attention, the eminence in my tone intimidating. The rogue jumped up in fright, obviously at my voice. But the moment he turned around, his demeanor changed from fright into smugness.
