I glanced at the doctor and the guard as the words he spoke sank into my brain. I started to walk away from them and towards the crowd. I gestured to Weston to follow me. I wanted him to say the words to me. I wanted him to explain what was going on to me alone. I wanted him to explain why Natalie was not with him.

I made my way through the crowd and headed to the entrance of the pack house. I could hear Weston following me closely so my footsteps did not falter until I was in my office. I did not shut the door...
