“Shhh” Roman hushed. His hands still pressed against Tessa’s mouth. “Don’t move.”
Grayson reached for the closet door, his shadow falling over it.
“Tessa,” he said low this time, almost a growl. “I know you’re in here.”
His hand gripped the closet handle, a grin spreading across his face.
And then — he yanked the door open with brutal force.
His grin vanished in an instant.
The closet was empty—no Tessa.
