"There's no need for that", The Dutchess stood up, move across the room and stopped in front of Samantha. "Because I've already found her".

I stared at Samantha who looked totally disillusioned from what was happening in the room.

But now it was all starting to make sense. Why she didn't bother to search for her mother after arriving at the Federation. Why she acted cold towards the Dutchess and why she didn't want to linger around after she had done all she needed to do.

I leaned close to Samantha's ear. "It can't be true right",
