I lost track of how much time I spent enjoying the serenity of the garden. When I finally stood up, I felt rejuvenated and energized, like someone who was ready to take on a battle, not just head to the library.

I took a step forward, ready to leave, but my exit was blocked by Melissa's arrival.

She was entering the garden, her head bent as she arranged the vials in her box. I immediately paused, hoping to go unnoticed. But as I tried to stealthily back away, Melissa looked up and called out in a silly voice.
