"Hold still." Lady Selene tied a tourniquet around my hand and drew blood into a syringe. “How's your head?"

"Dull," I grumbled, sitting on the edge of the bed. “But at least I don't feel like throwing up anymore."

She sealed the vial and slid it into the analyzer.

"Good." Lady Selene tapped the screen of the machine. “Heart rate 82. Blood pressure 118 over 74. Better than yesterday."

She pulled a small ceramic bowl with some dried, crumbled leaves inside and held it under the analyzer's exhaust port.
