I'd half expected Raymond to be in our bedroom, waiting for me to come back, but he wasn't. Which was just as well, since I didn't have the energy to face him. My lips still tingled from Jon's kiss, and it remained in the forefront of my mind until the next morning. 

As I dressed for the day, I could almost feel the pack buzzing with nervous energy, but it was probably just me.
